Check this dog out

Dogs and men alike! The time has come, at last, to face a harsh truth: the health of our political fabric depends on giving your dog, and dogs across the country, the vote. As Thomas Jefferson once said, “a healthy republic can only abide citizens who are of sound moral character, and male.” In more modern parlance, the esteemed Mr. Jefferson says voters should be good boys.

Who is a good boy in today’s world? Humans have spent the better part of the 20th century proving they certainly are not. One need only look on human history to find the dearth of good boys. George Washington owned slaves; Sir John A MacDonald initiated the residential schools. That video game you like is sexist, and your favourite TV show shores up negative stereotypes of ethnic minorities. No where in these chronicles of man’s failures do we find any dogs.

Voting Dogs are Man’s Best Friend

Think of a dog in your life. Is he or she a racist? That dog has never deliberately misgendered someone, or treated someone differently on account of their skin colour. That dog, during belly rubs, has never advocated short-sighted economic policies, or created a security risk for the nation. A human of this sound ethical character could, without hesitation, be trusted with the voting franchise.

Of course. The prevailing reactionary back-think of today, however, advocates that plenty of good boys and good girls should be disqualified from the voting franchise on account of their fur and four-leggedness. Think hard about those blocking the canine vote – what do they fear? What could they lose by the radical expansion of the electorate to a group impervious to gerrymandering. Even better, they would be indifferent to divisive politics. If you personally lack for dogs in your life, consider procuring your own: https://digitalmarketingtestsite.com/dog/

Whatever it is, it would surely be our gain.
