Social media has become one of the main marketing strategy for most business to use on how to attract and interact with their consumers. I will be comparing and contrasting Air Canada and KLM Airlines based on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to distinguish which is more successful at their social media strategy.

Air Canada has proven to present a verity of vertically appealing photographs and videos on all three of the social media platforms that I reviewed during my findings.  Air Canada integrate all social media sites by keep the information relatively the same in terms to the content they post. The platform that Air Canada uses that exceed their social media strategy would be Twitter. My first initial thoughts would have to be that not only do they present an appealing content in terms to the photographs and videos but they also make sure to include travel alerts to inform their customers of any flight changes, booking information or additional fees. To which they also provide the link where customers can read the article related to the alert. As well, they take the time to respond to any questions, concerns or sweet comments their consumers leave on their Twitter site. By doing so they maximize their social media strategy by still engaging with their customers on a day-to-day basis and continue to stay consistent with their brand story.

KLM Airlines while analyzing their social media sites, Facebook and Twitter showed a similar social media strategy but I would have to concluded that Twitter shows a higher rating on how they maximize their social media strategies/tactics. They have over 2.4 million followers. They make sure to keep their customers updated to better their service in over 10 different languages. Throughout their tweets they show engagement by responding to their consumers and answering any questions or concerns they may have.

Being able to compare and contrasting Air Canada and KLM Airlines it was shown that Air Canada is better at their social media strategy then KLM Airlines. Although Air Canada has a smaller follower range then the competitor they seem to be more engaging with their consumers and integrate all other social media sites into their Twitter site. They continue to stick with their brand story throughout each content they post whether it be through pictures, videos and/or travel alerts. All in all Air Canada is proven to exceed in their social media strategy.
