The history of the team Toronto Raptors began when the PBF (professional basketball franchise) decided to expand the game beyond the United States, which meant Toronto having it’s own basketball team. In 1994, fans were questioned on their choice of team name. The choices were between a list of 10 names, which included Beavers, Bobcats, Dragons, Grizzlies, Hogs, Scorpions, T-Rex, Tarantulas, Terriers and Raptors. The team eventually drafted top college basketball players, due to the NBA draft lottery in 1998. This led to their best game season from 1998 to 1999 in which they won 46% of their games. However by the 2002 to 2003 season, the team suffered many injuries leading to many failures. They have had many ups and downs, with 2007- 2008, 2010-2011, and 2014-2015 being recognized as the important years, by losing and gaining people.
