Krav Maga, it is the Israeli Defense Forces official hand-to-hand combat martial art. Also, Krav Maga is a proud, practical yet simple art of using what you have physically to defend which is especially relevant in dangerous situations. In Krav Maga class, students are bare feet and are therefore pushed to use their body as a weapon. Most of all in the art form “anything goes” from escaping a threat to getting the upper advantage in a fight.
So, how does it work?

Krav Maga also includes the use of kick-boxing and self-defense tactics. Mostly due to the simplicity in the movements allowing for power in simple movements. These simple movements include the jab, cross and uppercut. Hence making this art the kickboxers favorite. Consequently, with Krav Maga you can learn to perform self-defense on the ground, in a choke hold and off your feet.
Is it for you?
Yes! Krav is for anyone and everyone it’s a great way to learn memorable self-defense for street purposes and used as cardio for exercise.
In my personal experience Krav Maga has developed an active lifestyle. Training personally for dangerous situations that is encountered in real-life situations. The Master gets explicitly in to the gory details of eye-gouging and hair pulling. Living in Oshawa as a student allows the Krav Maga classes at Leo Wong’s Tae Kwon Do, to be a worthwhile investment.
Krav Maga teaches that “Fear is common, and it’s real,”. The objective of the art is to get people past that fear. In practice of being trained to the point where split-second decisions that are not always easy are made. As a result, allowing you to defend yourself and your loved ones. While agreeably getting a good strength and cardio workout fitted into your personal schedule.
We are taught caution to always prevent or avoid an unfortunate situation as much as possible. Which will involve sacrificing your wallet, jewelry, or other possessions an attacker will ask for. However, when you are in a situation where you are asking to go to any kind of second location you must learn to defend. Because you must deliver yourself to an advantageous position.
In conclusion, learning to use Krav Maga classes to defend yourself and the ones you love. I will promote you to sign up your children in the kid’s program. You shouldn’t mind joining them, too. However, you will require meditative activity afterwards. Remember to take time afterwards to take the edge off after classes.

When searching for a location especially for any Krav Maga locations, make sure they have certification as an instructor. To inspect certification, look for Krav Maga Worldwide. When searching in Google look for instructor certification and class sizes. You don’t want an over filling in each class segment as it won’t ensure proper training. In Oshawa, a promising Krav Maga program can be found on 40 King Street West. This is found in the upper level of the Tae Kwon Do dojo.
