Programs
Many students wonder: why choose UOIT? Here at UOIT we offer a wide variety of programs. These programs provide students with the skills needed to be successful in the workplace. Being a newer school, we are constantly updating programs and courses. This is done to better suit the needs of students as well as the changing educational landscape.
Expansion
As a newer school, we are expanding our programs, as well as our campus. With over 10,000 students currently enrolled, we offer two campus locations in Durham Region. Both are located in Oshawa, Ontario (north and downtown). In addition, we have just recently expanded our campus. A brand new, state-of-the-art building has been built on the North Oshawa location to promote increased and better learning!
Innovation
UOIT is a school that places importance on innovation and technology. Therefore, we encourage the use of devices in class. Most recently, we have introduced the bring you own device (BYOD) tele-model. This allows students to bring their own devices in whichever form is best suited for their learning needs.
Opportunity
At UOIT, the opportunities are endless. In addition to program diversity, we also offer opportunity in other areas. Research, co-op, and internships are available to students while studying full time. As a result, students become more experienced in their studies.
Reputation
Although we are a newer university, we are the first full campus university in Oshawa and the Durham Region. Furthermore, we are committed to creating an enjoyable university experience as well as consistently building and bettering our reputation. We are gaining recognition for the quality of education we provide students.
Passion for Student Success
Our students’ success is a top priority at UOIT. As a result, we have a high employment rate post graduation. Smaller class sizes shape our approach to learning and allow for better relationships with instructors. Also, we provide many resources to support students and give guidance when needed.
