HOW TO BAKE AN APPLE PIE

Apple pie is one of the most popular dessert dishes, it can be served with whipped cream or ice cream on top. it is especially popular in the fall/winter season to enjoy after a nice turkey dinner. Their are many different variations of recipes for apple pies, and today I’m going to share my process of how to bake an apple pie, one that I believe to be a very tasty recipe, with some basic ingredients and a little bit of time you can bake an amazing pie today!

The ingredients you will need for this recipe are:

-1 recipe for a 9 inch double crust pie

-1/2 cup unsalted butter

-3 tablespoons flour

-1/4 cup water

-1/2 cup white sugar

-1/2 cup brown sugar

-8 granny smith apples, sliced, cored, and peeled

 

The first step you want to begin with Preheating the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

Next you want to melt some butter in a saucepan, and stir in the flour until it creates an almost paste texture. Then you want to add water, white and brown sugar, and bring it all  to a boil. Reduce the temperature a little bit and let  it all simmer.

After that you will place the bottom crust in your pan. Fill it with the sugar covered apples, mounded slightly. Cover that with a lattice crust, and then gently pour the sugar and butter liquid over the crust. Make sure to pour slowly so that it does not run off.

Put the pie in the oven once the oven has reached specific temperature, and bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Then reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue baking for 35 to 45 minutes, until apples are soft.
