My Rugby Experience

This was the second year in a row that my teammates and I were able to win the provincial championship. We were the first time in the past 60 years to win two in a row.
In my Rugby experience, I developed many vital skills.
I was granted the senior boy’s rugby coaches award in high school.
I received this after leading the All Saints team to our first successful season in the past 5 years.
After playing one game it hooked me.
I immediately realized I was much better at it than I ever was at football.
I immediately realized I was much better at it than I ever was at football.
The game is played very differently.
I played for All Saints and the Oshawa Vikings. On the Oshawa team, I filled the role of a teammate.
Due to this extra experience, my coach felt I would make a good captain.
Having two completely different roles on my teams was very beneficial.
Especially when considering my badminton career, where I performed alone.
On the Oshawa Vikings, we learned communication and to trust each other to take care of each of our responsibilities.
At All Saints, my coach had a lot of faith in me.
I oversaw a lot with the team.
As the team captain, I had to learn how to instruct my teammates, and I over time became very good at demonstrating plays and situations to them.
Reflection
Therefore with both rolls I had, compromise and communication skills were vital if you wanted to end up successful.
I believe it is clear to see that our communication skills played a huge roll in our success story.
The skills I learned transfer into the business world very well.
With developing these skills I will be able to manage a team very respectfully and efficiently.
In playing a team sport you make relationships and memories that will last a lifetime.
